Position Summary Richwell Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance and accounting team in City of Industry, California. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced business environment. The Senior Accountant will oversee and perform a variety of general accounting functions, including general ledger management, account reconciliations, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable support, month-end closing, and financial analysis. This position will work closely with the Controller, management, and cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial information. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting schedules. Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and other accounting transactions. Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate variances or discrepancies. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting transactions for accuracy. Monitor cash activity and assist with bank and credit card reconciliations. Maintain fixed asset schedules and calculate depreciation. Assist with inventory accounting and reconciliation, as applicable. Prepare supporting documentation for audits, tax filings, and other financial reviews. Ensure compliance with GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal controls. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting. Assist the Controller and management with special projects and financial analysis. Collaborate with operations and other departments to resolve accounting-related issues. Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and documentation. Protect confidential financial and company information. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience , preferably in a corporate or multi-entity environment. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles. Experience with month-end and year-end close procedures. Strong general ledger and account reconciliation experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and other financial functions. Experience with accounting/ERP software; experience QuickBooks, Sage, ERP systems preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Experience in full-cycle accounting. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team. Preferred Qualifications CPA or CPA candidate is a plus. Experience with multi-entity accounting is a plus. Experience in distribution, manufacturing, retail, real estate, or other operationally complex environments is preferred. Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting is a plus.
