Summary

The Scheduler translates the production plan into a working production schedule for their respective areas as part of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. The Scheduler performs Produce to plan SAP workflows for their area including forecasting, material requirement planning, capacity management, master data management, inventory management, and scheduling/area production KPI reporting.

This role is accountable for all aspects of department performance including Safety & Environment, Quality, Reliability, Production, and Productivity.

Essential Functions

Shared duties between areas:
• Production Scheduling and Communication: Create and communicate detailed production schedules, attend operations meetings, and ensure process order availability.
• Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Manage MRP for the area, including material ownership, purchase requisitions, stock levels, demand forecasts, and executing contract manufacturing workflows in SAP.
• Inventory Management: Execute cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure inventory accuracy by troubleshooting physical vs. SAP inventory mismatches.
• Process Order Management: Create, close, and troubleshoot process orders and material movements, manage production variances and coordinate with Finance for month-end reconciliation.
• Data Management and Reporting: Maintain bills of materials, production versions, master recipes, and aggregate data for performance reviews and meetings.
• Training and Support: Train, mentor, and provide SAP support for operations staff and students, and create/update procedures.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead planning and scheduling improvement projects, management of change workflows, partner with team to improve Scheduling Views for Material Master Data, and optimize workflows.

Specific duties for Raw Materials
• Responsible for management of key raw material supply deliveries, including frequent communications and coordination with both HSC internal parties and external parties.
• Manage POs and daily trailer logistics of key raw materials for multiple Hemlock sites.
• Supply chain contact for shuttle coordination.
• Manage day-to-day HSC business Chemical Sales supply chain tactical workflow responsibilities and cross-functional communications to ensure on-time shipments.
• Collaborate with Planner to optimize key raw material and container tracking workflows to improve inventory accuracy and avoid both stockout or overstock.

Specific duties for Chemicals
• Day to day management of trailers to meet the plan.

• Weekly reconciling and error correction of goods movements for TCS, HCl, and STC with 
supplier/customer.
• Complete weekly chemicals mass balance documentation and lead troubleshooting when 
physical inventory and SigmaFine does not match SAP.
• Coordinate containers and schedules with HSC production team and external vendors for 
incineration of waste material.

Specific duties for CVD
• Oversee Arnold Center production to ensure no supply chain disruptions.
• Process reactor material change requests and realign/manually correct movements on process orders in SAP to align with request.
• Correct production recording errors on process orders, updating SAP and Run Conditions (ex: tipover/abort incorrect material selected at harvest, decomp carbon ends quantity errors).
• Capacity level process orders by resource.
• Collaborate with Planner for critical material forecasting. Create annual purchase requisitions in SAP.

Specific dutiesfor Finishing
• Load monthly demand forecasts into SAP, build shipping schedules, coordinate sample shipments, and manage process orders.
• Oversee inventory of fiberpacks, arrange inventory transfers between warehouses, review blocked inventory reports, and escalate stock out risks.
• Document and reduce schedule changes and explain production variances.
• Compile area performance datasets, follow up on open process orders, support SAP corrections.
• Identify resource constraints and suggest optimization opportunities. 

Specific duties for Slimrod
• Capacity level main process orders by resource, prepare weekly etch material priorities, and calculate process order sizes.
• Execute handling unit corrections for S11 and CVD, support process order goods movement corrections, and assist in Red Square meetings for SAP corrections.
• Document production schedule changes, work with the Planner to reduce changes, and explain open process orders at month-end.
• Follow up with operations on open process orders to ensure timely closure and accurate financial reporting.

Specific duties for MROS
• Oversee MRP, inventory management, stock out spreadsheet, cycle counts, and stock add processes for MROS materials and strategic spares.
• Work with reliability and production teams to plan strategic parts and enter annual purchase orders in SAP.
• Handle ServiceNow new/change material requests, knowledge of all stock procedures, and train the stock team.
• Lead MROS reliability projects, manage stock changes, and investigate material issues.
• Execute refurbishment workflows, manage the Refurb Buyer queue, and respond to moving average price questions.
• Accountable for price change goods receipt reversals and non-material master purchase requisitioning mailbox.

Additional Duties within Business Process Ownership (BPO) may be held by an experienced Scheduler
• Serve as the BPO for Supply Chain Execution (SCE), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and/or Material Master Data.

• Production Schedulers back each other up as primary. Secondary backup for all other roles within the Team.

Minimum Required Work Experience

• 2+ years of Supply Chain experience and/or a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other relevant field.
• Six Sigma and/or APICS certification preferred

The range for this position is $65,985 - $90,729 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, variable bonus, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
