The ideal candidate possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong people skills with the ability to gain the cooperation of business stakeholders, software development teams, service providers, and support organizations to ensure the Diagnostics Direct application delivers measurable business value.

This role requires a strong blend of project management capability, aviation maintenance knowledge, and aircraft troubleshooting or fault isolation experience. Experience with Atlassian Jira, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft 365 is strongly preferred. General knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter is a plus.

The candidate must be willing and able to quickly learn new software applications and specialized technical requirements supporting cloud-based applications, databases, and system integrations.

 

 

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Aviation maintenance, Engineering technology, related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 10 years related aircraft maintenance and or IT experience in support of aircraft maintenance systems.

Position Purpose :

Under minimal direction, serve as technical and operational expert for various aircraft diagnostic and health related systems (ex: AHTMS, AHTMS Data Trending, FORMS, CMP Diagnostics). Provide assistance to users both internal and external to Gulfstream. Monitor system usage and provide input on how to improve program(s) benefits. Assist management in identifying system development opportunities that improve capabilities and/or user experience.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. Provide general technical support for initial and subsequent deployments of Aircraft Diagnostics & Health related systems or capabilities .
2. Monitor and report systems usage data to management .
3. Perform detailed analyses of program(s) metrics to identify opportunities for improvements and/or cross-program integration .
4. Act as a functional expert and technical liaison for all internal and external users .
5. Develop and manage detailed and effective issues tracking for assigned programs and participate in developing and implementing resolutions .
6. Create technical strategies for the sustainment and growth of assigned programs .
7. Track program schedules and performance targets .
8. Facilitate technical training to Gulfstream departments, FlightSafety, and customers on system(s) operation .
9. Promote the technical and business value of assigned programs to internal and external users.

Additional Functions:

1. Serve as technical and operational expert at Program Management Reviews and similar meetings for assigned programs .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

1. Airframe and Powerplant license desired.
2. Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
3. A good understanding of PC and web-based computer applications including the use of standard computer word processing programs (i.e. Microsoft word). Must have experience in learning new software applications and specialized computer requirements necessary to support Product Support activities.

This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
