Job Description Summary Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the Ohio Nurse Practice Act criteria. Responsibilities and Duties Assessment/Diagnosis – Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual (30%). Outcomes Identification/Planning – Documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs (30%). Implementation/Evaluation – Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriate intervals; revises plan of care based on evaluative data (20%). Leadership – Participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance (10%). Operations – Focuses on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties (10%). Work Shift Night shift, scheduled weekly hours: 36. Minimum Qualifications BLS certification (Basic Life Support – American Heart Association). Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio or a multi‑state compact state. BSN required after 5 years of employment.
