Interior Designer As an interior designer at Apogee, you will play a critical role assisting in the development of design ideas, drawings, renderings, presentations, color boards, cost estimates, and integrating design work through the construction process with associated trades and design professionals. The ideal candidate is a passionate, driven individual with a relentless drive to explore, collaborate, and envision the constructability of their designs. They should demonstrate strong critical thinking, effectiveness, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence. Responsibilities All aspects of projects will be supervised by the Senior Interior Designer and Interiors Practice Leader. Participate with the Project Manager, architects, interior designers, and design team; attend project meetings and consult on all aspects of projects. Lead various design‑and‑build tasks, including sourcing finishes, furniture and lighting, space planning, concept research, design development, documentation, and construction administration, with direct supervision of the Lead Interior Designer. Plan and communicate effectively to facilitate collaboration among clients, designers, architects and engineers to successfully accomplish projects. Create final sketches of proposed drawings, verifying dimensions, materials, and relationships between components and overall structure. Help develop organizational systems, research new products, systems, finishes, and furniture. Use computer‑assisted drafting (Revit and AutoCAD) and relevant software. Possess general knowledge of product usage and appropriateness related to casework, millwork, finishes, and furniture/equipment. Create color renderings, color boards, and other presentation materials using InDesign, Enscape, and Photoshop. Meet with finish and material representatives and maintain a materials library. Receive mentorship from the Senior Interior Designer and Interiors Practice Leader to build the team's character and capability. Maintain constant professional communications with clients, project team, consultants, and managers. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in interior design. 3-5 years of interior design experience. Membership of the IIDA (preferred). Working toward NCIDQ certification. Training, Skills & Knowledge Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, InDesign, Enscape rendering, and Photoshop. Work Environment This position will be in an open-office work environment with flexibility.
