Client Success Manager (40355) Employment Type: Freelance Assignment Dates: October 19, 2026 October 18, 2027 Location: Remote, with flexible time-zone alignment Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week; generally 9:00 AM5:00 PM About the Role Our client, a leading technology-enabled marketplace organization, is seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Client Success Manager to support the growth and long-term success of small and mid-sized business partners. You will manage a dedicated portfolio of approximately 75 partners, helping them strengthen their digital presence, improve operational performance, and uncover new revenue opportunities. This role blends account management, consultative selling, and data-informed strategy. You will guide partners through platform adoption, promotional programs, listing enhancements, and performance-improvement initiatives. Success requires strong business judgment, consistent outreach, comfort in a high-volume environment, and the ability to build trusted relationships with business owners.

What You'll Do Manage and grow relationships across a portfolio of business partners through regular phone, email, and virtual engagement. Monitor account performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions that support retention, revenue growth, and operational improvement. Lead strategic business conversations and deliver quarterly business reviews as appropriate. Advise partners on improving visibility, optimizing digital listings, strengthening promotions, and expanding product adoption. Support churn-prevention efforts while identifying opportunities for expansion and deeper partnership growth. Collaborate with internal growth, product, and operations teams to align partners with relevant solutions. Use performance data to prioritize outreach, tailor recommendations, and measure the impact of success initiatives. Maintain accurate account activity, plans, and outcomes in Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform. Adapt outreach strategies and messaging to sustain progress through changing business conditions and complex partner needs.

What You'll Bring 12+ years of experience in a client-facing sales, customer success, account management, or retention-focused role. Experience managing a book of business and owning account prioritization, relationship health, retention, and growth outcomes. 12+ years of experience in business operations, merchant services, e-commerce, marketplace, or a related environment. Proven outbound communication skills, including confidence engaging customers by phone and email. Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM system to document activity and manage account workflows. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, including maintaining and analyzing complex spreadsheets. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into practical, partner-friendly recommendations. Empathy, adaptability, and a customer-first mindset when addressing varied business goals and challenges. Comfort adopting AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and quality, with sound judgment about when personal connection is most valuable.
