The team leader is responsible for the coordination of inbound and outbound product movements within the distribution center, ensuring client orders are shipped in a timely manner to meet client expectations. The team leader monitors and documents daily volume of inbound and outbound in departmental records, works closely with teammates to resolve client problems, and reports performance, issues, and resolutions as required. The team leader follows all Insight policies and procedures and is accountable for meeting or exceeding individual and/or departmental metrics. As a Team Lead You Will Effectively utilize a variety of communication tools to ensure key issues are communicated to teammates and management. Provide support in organizing and facilitating department or company meetings. Assume the manager’s role during manager absence. Proactively take accountability for getting things done, driving tasks through to completion. Maintain workflow and follow safety procedures and guidelines. Assist in daily workflow to reduce or eliminate overtime. What We’re Looking For High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience. Warehouse supervisory experience. Forklift driver experience. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and other employees. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
