Industrial Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and ongoing improvement of production equipment and facility systems.The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience working in a manufacturing environment, and a commitment to safety, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.Install, modify, upgrade, and maintain production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.Complete equipment inspections, maintenance records, work orders, and other required documentation.Perform equipment setup, startup, changeovers, shutdowns, and production line checks.Troubleshoot PLCs and electrical control systems, including Allen-Bradley controls.Respond to equipment breakdowns and work proactively to minimize production downtime.Coordinate maintenance activities with Production and Operations teams.Assist with equipment improvements, modifications, and reliability initiatives.Train and support team members on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safe work practices.Follow all food safety, quality, GMP, maintenance, environmental, and workplace safety requirements.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Perform additional maintenance and operational duties as assigned.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Previous experience maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment in a production environment.Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.Experience with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance documentation.Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting; Allen-Bradley experience preferred.Basic computer skills and the ability to use maintenance systems and digital documentation.Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong attendance and reliability record.Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Preferred QualificationsAssociate degree or technical certificate in Industrial Maintenance Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.Experience with industrial automation and controls.Experience troubleshooting motors, drives, sensors, conveyors, pumps, and other automated production equipment.Experience in food, beverage, consumer products, or other high-volume manufacturing environments.Physical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and work in confined or physically demanding areas as required.Ability to work safely around operating manufacturing equipment.Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and respond to equipment issues as needed.Core CompetenciesMechanical TroubleshootingElectrical TroubleshootingPreventive MaintenancePLC & Controls TroubleshootingPneumatic & Hydraulic SystemsEquipment ReliabilityProblem SolvingSafety AwarenessTeamwork & CommunicationContinuous ImprovementManufacturing Support
