As a Literacy Instructional Coach with Bailey Education Group in Georgia, your day is dedicated to empowering educators and enhancing literacy outcomes through research-driven strategies rooted in the Science of Reading. You'll also guide teams in analyzing assessment data to identify student needs and refine instructional practices. Familiarity with Nebraska's English Language Arts standards and early reading assessment tools like DIBELS, Acadience, and MAP is crucial for effective instruction. Successful candidates will demonstrate a proven ability to analyze student data, supporting tiered interventions through informed instructional practices.

Experience in coaching and mentoring educators is essential, as is the capability to model lessons, facilitate planning sessions, and provide constructive feedback. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are necessary for building trust with teachers and school leaders. Additionally, organizational skills to manage multiple coaching assignments, along with proficiency in technology and virtual platforms, will enhance the coaching experience in diverse educational settings across Georgia.

• Deep understanding of early literacy development and evidence-based practices aligned with the Science of Reading (e.g. phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension)
• Strong knowledge of structured literacy frameworks and their practical application in K-5 classrooms
• Familiarity with Georgia's English Language Arts standards and early reading assessment tools
• Proven ability to analyze student data to inform instruction and support tiered interventions
• Experience coaching or mentoring educators with the ability to model lessons, facilitate planning and provide constructive feedback
• Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with teachers and school leaders
