Operations Manager

Operations Manager with Materials Distribution Industry Leader / $90,000 - $120,000 per year depending on Experience / Excellent Benefits and Room for Growth We are a growing industrial organization looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead a fast paced, 24 hour metal distribution operation. This is a highly visible, hands on leadership position responsible for building strong teams, developing supervisors, improving operational performance, and creating a culture centered around safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a proven operations leader who enjoys being on the floor, working closely with employees, and improving the way an operation runs. Experience within metal distribution, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, or other industrial environments is highly preferred. $90,000 - $120,000 per year depending on Experience with Bonus Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance and Disability Coverage Voluntary Wellness Programs 401(k) / RRSP with Company Match Paid Vacation and Company Holidays Tuition Reimbursement and Career Development Support Lead daily operations across a 24 hour, multi shift industrial distribution environment Oversee receiving, material handling, storage, processing, packaging, staging, shipping, and fulfillment Manage and develop supervisors, team leads, and hourly employees Establish daily priorities and ensure consistent communication across all shifts Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements Monitor productivity, labor planning, overtime, attendance, order flow, backlog, and shipping performance Drive inventory accuracy and improve material flow throughout the facility Oversee the safe and efficient use of cranes, forklifts, racking, saws, and other industrial equipment Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical continuous improvement initiatives Establish and monitor key performance indicators for safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery Partner with customer service, planning, sales, quality, purchasing, transportation, and maintenance teams Coach and develop supervisors while creating consistency, accountability, and clear expectations across shifts Maintain a visible presence on the floor and build strong relationships with employees Drive root cause problem solving and ensure corrective actions are completed Support customer requirements by ensuring orders are completed accurately and on time Ideal Background: 7 to 10 years of progressive operations leadership experience with at least 3 to 5 years managing supervisors or team leaders. Experience within metal distribution, metal processing, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or industrial operations is strongly preferred. Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
