Senior Java Developer

Salary: $95,000 - 134,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 7+ years of Java experience.
• We need hands-on knowledge of Java core concepts, JDBC, multithreading, collections, I/O, and Spring Boot.
• We require experience with SQL and PL/SQL on Oracle Database.
• We need familiarity with Kubernetes-based container platforms.
• We require experience with REST web services, Kafka, and Redis.
• We need knowledge of Unix commands and shell scripting.
• We require familiarity with standard data structures and algorithms.
• We need experience with tools such as JIRA, Harness/uDeploy, SonarQube, TeamCity, Artifactory, and Git (GHE and Bitbucket).
• We require strong logical thinking, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills with an innovative, solutions-oriented mindset.
• We need effective time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities across changing time zones and deadlines.
• We require excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• We require a bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
• Nice to have: a masters degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Nice to have: experience working in Scrum.
• Nice to have: experience with NoSQL databases.
• Nice to have: experience designing and implementing microservices.
• Nice to have: financial services technology experience, preferably in reference data.

• We collaborate with a global, diverse team and work closely with Business Analysts, Production Support, and infrastructure teams.
• We deliver assigned development work within agreed timelines, quality standards, and scope.
• We participate in all phases of the SDLC within an agile Scrum environment.
• We partner with technology vendors and build a deep understanding of their products.
• We enhance and re-architect existing components to meet new performance and scalability needs.
• We provide level 3 application support for escalations.
