About the Role

Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Tech Stack

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on Java Spring Boot development exp
• Build and maintain backend services supporting the account opening process
• Has worked with Kafka in an event-driven architecture, communicate with Kafka as part of event-driven data flows (Must have practical hands on exp)
• Must have good knowledge of design and contribute to solution design - not just implementation
• Own incidents end-to-end (triage, debug and resolve issues)
• Mentor and unblock junior engineers on the team (will do code reviews etc for other contractors who are new)
• Pick up Jira tickets independently and deliver with minimal guidance
• Proactively communicate blockers to team members - must be proactive and take initiative especially for incidents
• Must be able to own and resolve production incidents with minimal guidance
• Comfortable working independently from a JIRA card with no handholding

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, infrastructure as code, and monitoring tools.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to ensure high availability.
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Proficient in version control using Git.
• Ability to optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability.

Desired Qualifications

• Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Kubernetes).
• Experience with other CI/CD tools or cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.

Salary and Other Compensation:
