Job Responsibilities

• Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized evaluations and observational assessment techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans addressing immediate and long-term speech, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Implement tailored speech therapy sessions concentrating on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical staff, families, and caregivers to forge seamless care strategies.
• Provide educational resources and guidance to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Contribute to occasional inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
• Maintain current and accurate documentation following all appropriate state and federal regulations.

Educational Background

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA certified.

Certifications Required

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
