Job Posting Title Shift Supervisor (TAC)-3 Agency 025 OKLAHOMA MILITARY DEPARTMENT Overview Monitors and supervises 3–5 Residential Advisors and their platoons, which consist of 35–40 youth (ages 17–21) in the Sooner Job Challenge Program. Responsibilities Maintains accountability of all platoons at all times. Maintains discipline and security within a quasi-military atmosphere and develops a team‑oriented attitude in the cadet corps. Acts as mentor and role model for cadets in the program. Provides second‑level counseling and problem‑solving for cadets. Enforces program rules and policies. Plans resources and supervises training. Supervises and maintains support documentation as tasked to the Operations Department in accordance with NGB and SJC guidelines. Maintains personnel support documentation on staff personnel assigned, including annual ratings. May have a rotating shift; shift may change due to staffing needs. Performs additional duties as required. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required; degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience, including at least 1 year of professional experience working directly with youth. At least 1 year of supervisory experience required. Experience working in a team/collaborative environment preferred. All required experience must be clearly listed on the resume. Military background preferred but not required. Excellent oral communication skills; ability to work in a stressful environment. Computer‑based skills (Internet/Google, Microsoft applications). Non‑military applicants must be willing to learn military structure and procedures (Drill and Ceremony, Physical Fitness, Customs and Courtesies). Physical Requirements Requires long periods of standing and walking indoors and outdoors. Ability to work in both high and low temperatures. Ability to climb stairs. Ability to run a mile and walk extended distances. Ability to perform push‑ups, side‑stride hops, sit‑ups and other physical training and fitness activities. Ability to teach and perform physical training to cadets as outlined by the Youth Challenge Physical Fitness Program. Valid driver’s license required; must be able to drive or ride in a vehicle for extended distances. Conditions of Employment 12‑month trial period. Contingent on favorable NCIC/OSBI background check. Contingent on passing pre‑employment drug & alcohol screening. Contingent on favorable pre‑employment physical. Contingent on favorable MMPI test T1, child care check security clearance (eligibility for national security positions granted only to U.S. citizens). Essential personnel; required to work during inclement weather. Must be available for shift work and working weekends; facility open 24 hours, 7 days a week. FLSA Non‑Exempt. Tobacco and vape free facility.
