UA Associate - Construction Property

Zurich North America is currently hiring a UA Associate or UA Analyst – Construction Property to join the Construction Property team in our Denver office. This is a hybrid work position. The selected candidate must be able to report to either the Denver, CO or Schaumburg, IL office. Role Overview The UA Associate or UA Analyst – Construction Property will support and work closely with experienced Underwriters in the review and analysis of risks. The role focuses on applying research and analytical skills to assess risk and aid underwriting decisions. Responsibilities Review, evaluate, and summarize risk exposures, controls, loss history, and financial condition to aid underwriting decisions around submission acceptance or declination. Follow instructions from Underwriters in areas of policy rating, subjective pricing, policy construction, coverages & exclusions, mandatory forms, etc., to accurately quote and issue policies. Provide account servicing support in collaboration with Underwriter and Manager, overseeing end‑to‑end servicing processes for new business, renewals, and endorsements for basic to moderately complex business and products. Respond to written, verbal telephone inquiries appropriately and on time under close supervision by Underwriter and/or Manager. Support Underwriter with broker/agent/distributor/customer interactions by providing basic customer service skills. UA Associate – Construction Property Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area AND Knowledge of data collection and analysis Microsoft Office experience UA Analyst – Construction Property Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting, Finance, Accounting or Banking area. Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associates Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting, Finance, Accounting or Banking area. High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting, Finance, Accounting or Banking area. Knowledge of the insurance industry and the legal and regulatory environment. Experience with data collection and analysis. Experience with processing, rating and policy management systems used in the insurance industry. Customer service experience. Problem solving experience. Experience servicing product portfolios for multiple lines of business in the insurance or financial industry. Microsoft Office experience. Preferred Qualifications Insurance industry knowledge. Knowledge of processing, rating and policy management systems used in the insurance industry. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Superior skills in relationship building, active listening with customers and coworkers. Customer service experience. Enjoys working with details and providing accurate data in a timely manner. Self‑directed to meet deadlines. Multi‑tasking skills. Pay & Benefits Your pay is based on role, location, skills, and experience. The combined salary range for this position is $54,500.00 – $98,100.00. The UA Associate hourly rate is $26.20–$42.84, with short‑term incentive bonus eligibility of 5%. The UA Analyst salary range is $60,000.00 – $98,100.00, with short‑term incentive bonus eligibility of 10%. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits for employees and their families.
