Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws (venipuncture and capillary collections) on pediatric, geriatric, and adult patients in diverse settings, including patient service centers and in-office locations
• Verify patient demographic information, ensuring proper labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of collection procedures and patient information
• Create a professional and trusting environment by explaining procedures to patients and demonstrating confidence and sensitivity
• Adhere to established safety, quality, and confidentiality standards, following all policies and procedures
• Travel between multiple locations as needed, covering various sites with flexibility for weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and a commitment to process excellence in all activities

Required Skills

• Ability to draw blood samples accurately and efficiently, including pediatric and geriatric collections
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Additional Skills & Requirements

• 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus
• Experience working in a patient service center environment is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
• Must have reliable transportation, with mileage reimbursement if applicable
