Transmission Construction Readiness Specialist

Primary Services is actively recruiting for a Transmission Construction Readiness Specialist to support a major client in the energy industry. This role is responsible for ensuring transmission line construction projects are fully prepared to transition from development into execution. The Transmission Construction Readiness Specialist will coordinate planning activities, readiness assessments, stakeholder communications, and reporting processes that support the timely completion of complex infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Perform construction readiness reviews to support the successful transition from conceptual development into construction execution. Develop and maintain construction readiness implementation plans, including readiness analysis, tracking activities, and status reporting. Coordinate readiness planning activities with engineering, project management, environmental, land, and construction stakeholders. Conduct activity mapping and task identification reviews using transmission development plans, GIS systems, aerial photography, and facility maps. Prepare project management reports and readiness updates for leadership and project stakeholders. Identify project risks, schedule constraints, and readiness gaps impacting construction timelines. Support work planning efforts related to transmission line construction projects. Maintain project documentation and readiness records in accordance with company standards. Facilitate communication between internal departments and external project participants to ensure alignment on readiness activities. Monitor readiness milestones and support corrective action planning when project delays or issues are identified. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience supporting transmission, utility, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects. Experience performing construction readiness reviews or project planning activities. Proficiency with GIS data systems, aerial imagery tools, and facility mapping applications. Knowledge of transmission line construction processes and project lifecycle management. Experience developing project implementation plans and management reporting. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project tracking software. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, project schedules, and technical documentation. Familiarity with utility industry safety and construction standards.
