The Watts Internship Program is your chance to bring what you’ve learned in the classroom to life! Scope of Position

This detail-oriented individual, as part of the Total Rewards team, will support compensation, benefits, and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) projects and activities that enhance the company’s continued growth and operations. Our Total Rewards and HRIS Intern will gain hands-on experience with job profiles, compensation structures, Workday functionality, HR data analytics, and employee benefits while collaborating with departments across the organization.

This position reports to the VP of Total Rewards & HRIS. This role is remote and is based in N Andover, MA

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

• ​ Assist with the company-wide job profile project, including job descriptions, benchmarking, and compensation band reviews.

• Support the development of the revised compensation framework and related reporting.

• Assist in the execution of projects and the design, implementation, and support of Workday system functionality.

• Identify opportunities to improve HR system efficiency, effectiveness, and the overall end-user experience.

• Create and maintain process, system, and end-user documentation.

• Analyze HR data and support the development of HR metrics and reporting.

• Assist with employee benefits activities, including health and retirement benefits.

• Identify opportunities to enhance HR policies, procedures, and programs.

• Support the Human Resources team with day-to-day operations and initiatives to improve the employee experience.

• Collaborate with departments across the organization to support Total Rewards and HRIS projects.

• Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the VP of Total Rewards and HRIS or Company management.

Required Qualifications

• Current student (junior or senior status)

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Passionate about your work, with a genuine desire to contribute meaningfully and make an impact.

• Demonstrated commitment to integrity and respect in interactions with others, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

• Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership of tasks and following through on commitments.

• Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.

• Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Workday or other Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).

• Strong technical acumen.

• Coursework or project experience in compensation, employee benefits, HR analytics, or information systems.

• Familiarity with documenting processes or identifying opportunities for process improvement.

• Experience organizing and analyzing data to identify trends and support recommendations.

Working Conditions

While performing the job duties, you will be working remotely in an office environment. You may be required to occasionally travel to and work in the office at the N Andover location for meetings, trainings, or as otherwise required by Company management.

Physical Requirements : S pecific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.

• Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.

• Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks.

• Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.

• Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.

• Ability to push and pull up to 20 pounds.

• Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor.

• Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.

Pay Range: $21-24 per hour

The expected hourly range for this position is $21-24 hourly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
