Salary:  Teacher Salary Scale- Salary is Negotiable (Employees will receive 5% below the negotiated pay rate during their probationary status.)

Responsible To: Appropriate Principal

Summary: The Media Specialist has responsibilities in the administrative, educational, technical and professional areas of library media programming for K-12. The Media Specialist will help users locate, evaluate, and effectively use the information. The Media Specialist will achieve goals by aiding in accessing material in all forms, and by providing guidance and instruction to further stimulate interest and acquire competency for both students and staff. This is an exempt position and reports to the appropriate Principal. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants please clearly state how you meet these qualifications on the application/resume.

• Bachelor’s degree in education.
• Wisconsin State Teacher’s Certification 902 Instructional Library Media Specialist.

• Current personal resume.
• Must provide a copy of school transcripts with application. 
• Copies of certifications/license document or letter from accredited college or university stating that you have completed the Program and have applied for your license. 
• Four (4) letters of reference:

1. Letters from current and/or previous employers.
2. Letters need to be current (within the last 4 years). 
3. Letters need to contain information related to previous schoolwork experience. 

• Investigative Questionnaire for a Child Contact Position.
