A travel pharmacist position is open in Ashland, Wisconsin, at a 50-bed hospital, offering an immediate start for a 13-week or longer assignment. This role requires providing critical pharmacy services in a hospital setting, working a 12-hour day shift on a 7-on, 7-off rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review medication orders to assess drug therapy appropriateness, dosage forms, dosing regimens, therapeutic duplications, and potential drug interactions.
• Provide pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation dosing guidance.
• Deliver pharmaceutical care through clinical services such as medication reconciliation and discharge medication education.
• Oversee pharmaceutical compounding, ensuring compliance with USP regulatory guidelines, particularly USP 797 and USP 800.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system effectively for medication management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Wisconsin pharmacist license or eligibility for a temporary Wisconsin license.
• Minimum of one year of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and clinical services.
• Familiarity with USP compliance standards for compounding.

Schedule:
