Production Associate

JackJaw is looking for a dependable, hands-on person to join our growing team in West Lafayette, Indiana. This is a part-time position primarily responsible for assembling JackJaw products, checking completed products for quality, and packaging them for shipment. Work hours will vary based on incoming orders and production demand. Some weeks may require limited part-time hours, while busier periods may provide up to 40 hours of work. The ideal candidate has some flexibility in their availability, takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and is willing to help wherever needed to keep production running efficiently. Primary Responsibilities Assemble JackJaw products and components according to established procedures Use hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely and correctly Follow product specifications and assembly instructions Inspect parts and completed products for quality, fit, and proper operation Identify and report damaged, defective, or incorrect components Maintain accurate counts of completed products and work in progress Place completed JackJaw models and required materials into the appropriate product boxes Verify that the correct model and components are included in each box Seal and organize packaged products for shipment Maintain an adequate supply of boxes and packaging materials Keep production and packaging areas clean, safe, and organized Assist with inventory counts and workspace organization as needed Help improve assembly procedures and production efficiency Perform other reasonable production-related duties as needed Qualifications Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, construction, mechanical work, or another hands-on position is preferred Comfortable using common hand tools and power tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a small team Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Ability to manage changing priorities and workloads Willingness to perform responsibilities outside a narrowly defined list of duties when the business needs assistance High school diploma or equivalent preferred Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move items weighing approximately 30–50 pounds Ability to stand and work on concrete surfaces for extended periods Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive assembly and packaging tasks Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment Ability to work in a warehouse and light-manufacturing environment Schedule and Compensation Part-time, hourly, non-exempt position Weekly hours will vary according to customer orders and production needs Some weeks may offer up to 40 hours, but a minimum number of weekly hours is not guaranteed Candidates should have reasonable flexibility to work additional hours during busy periods Work is generally scheduled during weekday business hours Work is performed onsite in West Lafayette, Indiana Compensation: $19-$22 per hour, depending on experience This position does not currently include employer-sponsored health insurance About JackJaw JackJaw manufactures professional post-pulling tools designed to make difficult work faster, safer, and more efficient.
