- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients ranging from children to elderly adults leveraging established assessments and observational methods.
- Craft tailor-made treatment strategies that focus on both immediate objectives and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver personalized therapy sessions that emphasize language, communication, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, families, and caregivers to create a seamless care approach.
- Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond clinical appointments.
- Partake in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure a continuous care experience.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation conforming to all regulatory bodies and organizational standards.
- Remain informed about the latest developments in the field through ongoing education and teamwork with peers.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies suitable for various age groups, combined with a solid foundation in developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication abilities to engage with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Capacity to customize therapy techniques to embrace cultural and linguistic diversity.
