Position : Water Treatment Area Manager
Location : Western Massachusetts & Connecticut
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Water Treatment Area Manager to independently manage an established customer territory across Western Massachusetts and Connecticut. This is a hands-on field and customer-facing role focused on industrial/commercial water treatment, account management, troubleshooting, and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage an established portfolio of water treatment accounts throughout Western MA and Connecticut.
- Perform on-site water testing, system inspections, troubleshooting, and service reporting .
- Work directly with boilers, cooling towers, and process water treatment systems .
- Monitor and maintain chemical feed systems, water treatment controls, and related equipment .
- Identify water treatment issues and provide practical corrective recommendations.
- Clearly explain test results, treatment recommendations, and system conditions to plant operators, facility managers, and owners.
- Develop strong long-term customer relationships and become a trusted technical resource.
- Independently plan and manage your daily territory, customer visits, service calls, and schedule .
- Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and generate new business .
- Maintain accurate service documentation using a tablet/laptop and Microsoft Office.
Requirements:
- Hands-on water treatment experience .
- Strong experience with boiler water treatment, cooling tower treatment, and/or industrial/process water treatment .
- Practical knowledge of water testing, chemical treatment, feed systems, and controls .
- Proven ability to troubleshoot water treatment problems in the field .
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage an assigned territory .
- Comfortable with significant driving and field-based work.
- Clean driving record .
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, tablets, and laptops .
