Lead Software Developer

CGI Federal is seeking a Senior Software Developer to lead the design, development, and enhancement of complex enterprise applications supporting federal cybersecurity missions. This role combines advanced engineering, secure coding, solution design, and DevSecOps integration. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are required.

Your Future Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead design and development of backend, frontend, and cloud-native software solutions.
• Implement secure coding practices aligned with federal cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST standards.
• Support API development, backend engineering, database modeling, and systems integration.
• Contribute to DevOps pipelines, automation, workflow engines, and modernization initiatives.
• Maintain architectural documentation, data models, and design specifications.
• Mentor development teams and ensure adherence to secure development lifecycle best practices.

Required Qualifications to Be Successful in This Role:

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) (LCAT requirement)
• Minimum 8+ years developing highly complex systems and applications
• Strong experience in enterprise architecture, APIs, databases, and secure coding.
• SSCP or equivalent security certification (LCAT-desired)
• Experience with cloud platforms and large enterprise systems.
