Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in the Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) is sought for a dynamic healthcare facility in Madison, Wisconsin. The successful candidate will provide acute care for adult and geriatric patients requiring specialized cardiac and thoracic surgery, transplantation, and related medical procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Madison, WI
• Shift: Rotating, 12-hour shifts (0700-1930 and 1900-0730), with day and night rotations, including every other weekend and some holidays, no call required
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin (WI) Registered Nurse (RN) license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), Basic Life Support (BLS), 2 years of recent ICU Cardiovascular (CVICU) experience in acute care, knowledge of Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system, ability to pass telemetry test prior to start
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Additional Information: The unit specializes in the care of cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients, with a broad range of complex procedures and advanced equipment including Impella devices, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and ventricular assist devices. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in invasive monitoring, ventilator management, medication titration, and managing multisystem organ failure. The candidate will participate in a 24-hour orientation.
