Job Summary:
The Neuro Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized critical care to adult patients with neurological diagnoses, including stroke, post-surgical neurosurgery, and traumatic brain injury. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day. The position demands experience in ICU settings, with a focus on neuro-related patient care, and mandatory passing of the telemetry exam prior to start.

Job Details:

• Location: Madison, WI
• Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Neurological
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night), 7:00 AM 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, with every other weekend rotations and some holidays.
• Schedule: 36 hours per week minimum.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), Wisconsin or compact state RN license, minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the ICU neuro specialty, experience with Epic electronic medical records, and Basic Arrhythmia experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ICP or ventriculostomy management, Neuro ICU experience, and pass Telemetry exam with adult and pediatric sections achieving at least an 80% score within two attempts.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work in the Neuro ICU, which serves as a hub of intensive care for a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and must have experience managing arterial lines, chest tubes, ventilators, and other neuro-specific interventions.
