Maintenance PersonMaintenance Person Pay Rate Range: $40/hr. (DOE) Employment Type: Contract Duration: Approximately 6 Months, extension possible Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 6am-2:30pm Hours: 40 hours/week Location: Palo Alto, CATekberry is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Maintenance Person to support our client, a world-renowned university.Job ResponsibilitiesCarpentry repair and/or maintenanceRepair and restore furniture.Repair door jams and stops.Remove and plane doors to fitReplace door locks.Patch holes in walls and ceilings.Repair or replace chalkboard.Paint interior walls, partitions.Build shelves, bookcases.Replace broken windows.Adhere to safety rulesRequirements4+ years of experience in carpentry and/or general maintenance.Valid California Class C Noncommercial Driver’s License. This job will likely require driving.Physical RequirementsAbility to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class license.Ability to perform heavy manual labor in all types of outside weather conditions.Constantly stand, walkFrequently grasp forcefully, lift up to 20 poundsOccasionally kneel, crawl, twist, bend, stoop, squat, climb (ladders and scaffolds), reach above shoulders, use light/fine grasping, lift 21-40 poundsWe need hard-working, reliable employees.
