Clinical Laboratory Scientist I - Weekend PM

Abbott seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I to perform moderate and highly complex laboratory testing on clinical specimens in the diagnostics division. The role involves specimen processing, quality assurance, equipment maintenance, and documentation of results working a weekend PM shift (Saturday-Monday, 6pm-6:30am).

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and highly complex laboratory tests and analyses following standard operating procedures
• Perform, review, and document quality control procedures and maintain equipment
• Identify and troubleshoot problems affecting test performance and laboratory operations
• Prepare reagents and manage inventory of laboratory supplies for daily operations
• Mentor new laboratory personnel and participate in testing and validation of new procedures

Requirements

• Associate degree in laboratory science, biological science, or medical laboratory technology from accredited institution
• 60 semester hours minimum including 24 hours of medical laboratory technology or science coursework
• Authorization to work in United States without sponsorship
• Professional knowledge of local, state, and federal laboratory regulations
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work standing/seated for extended periods
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science preferred

Compensation: $20.50–$41.00/hour
