Clinical Laboratory Scientist I - Weekend AM

Abbott seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I to perform moderate and highly complex laboratory testing on clinical specimens at a Madison location. The role includes specimen processing, quality control documentation, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting under laboratory medical director oversight, working Saturday through Monday mornings.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and highly complex laboratory tests and analyses according to standard operating procedures
• Perform, review, and document laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and prepare reagents
• Identify and resolve problems affecting test performance and laboratory operations
• Mentor new laboratory personnel on procedures and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies

Requirements

• Associate degree in laboratory science, biological science, or medical laboratory technology from accredited institution
• 60+ semester hours including 24 hours in medical laboratory technology or relevant science courses
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Professional knowledge of local, state, and federal laboratory regulations
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform repetitive manual laboratory tasks

Compensation: $20.50–$41.00/hour
