The role
You’ll be Redo’s second in-house attorney, working directly with our in-house counsel. This is a true generalist seat. One week you’re redlining an enterprise customer contract, the next you’re setting up an entity overseas or working through a privacy question on a new product. You’ll be close to the business and moving fast, and you’ll help build our legal function from the early days.

What you’ll do

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including enterprise customer contracts and redlines
• Own privacy and data protection work: GDPR, CCPA, data processing agreements and product privacy reviews
• Handle NDAs and vendor and partner agreements
• Advise product and marketing teams on technology, marketing and consumer law questions
• Support international expansion, including forming entities abroad
• Support M&A and other corporate transactions
• Advise on employment matters
• Build templates, playbooks and processes so the business can move quickly without extra risk

What we’re looking for

• JD from an accredited law school, with an active bar license in good standing (Utah or eligible for Utah in-house counsel registration)
• 3 to 5 years of transactional experience, at a law firm, in-house, or both
• Real experience in at least two of: commercial contracts, privacy, technology transactions, corporate and M&A, or employment
• Experience at a top law firm, in-house at a fast-moving tech company, or with startups (as a founder, an operator, or counsel) is a strong plus
• Comfort making practical calls quickly and explaining them in plain language to non-lawyers
• Curiosity and an appetite for building something. This seat is a great fit if you want more variety and ownership than a traditional legal path offers.
