Electrical Design Engineer 4

Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. US Citizenship Required. 100% on-site. Overview Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Makes recommendations for technology investments. Requirements Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 3+ years familiarity with electrical avionics system design including electrical systems and subsystems design, interface cable design between electrical system and platform, electrical hardware/software integration, coordination with vendors for part selection, and general test experience to do hardware/software testing of the system in a lab. Experience or knowledge of VPX/VME form factor Experience or knowledge of RS422/RS232, PC104, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, and MIL-STD-1553 communication standards, protocols and/or interface Technical system domain knowledge (e.g. air vehicle and/or weapons) Experience with product/systems development and integration Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience or knowledge of cyber security principals or cyber certifications Experience or knowledge of network design Experience or knowledge of common military standards used in hardware design and testing (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1472, etc.) Experience with CAD and creating electrical schematics Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. DOORs, CAMEO, earned value management). Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) CompTia Security + Certification Education / Experience: Bachelor’s and 9 or more years' experience, Master’s with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
