Patient Visits & Activities: Volunteer with Lifted Hospice | Flower Mound/Lewisville

Opportunity Description:

Although our headquarters is in Plano, we serve the majority of DFW, and you can volunteer near where you live.

Are you looking for a way to make a meaningful impact in your community? Lifted Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to visit elderly patients, provide companionship, and offer encouragement. Our volunteers sit and visit with patients, one on one activities, or group activities at the Memory Care/Assisted Living facilities.

Your time can make a profound difference in the lives of those nearing the end of their journey. Whether it’s through a heartfelt conversation, sharing a laugh, or simply sitting together, your presence brings comfort, hope, and dignity to someone in need.

What You’ll Do:

• Spend quality time with elderly patients in their homes or care facilities.
• Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
• Options of activities to do with patient: playing games/cards, listening to music (or singing/playing instruments), Veteran services, arts & crafts, reading to patient, etc...
• Group activities at facility: arts & crafts, games, music
• Brighten their day by being a kind and caring presence.

What We’re Looking For:

• Compassionate individuals with a heart for serving others.
• Good listeners who can provide support and comfort.
• A commitment of a few hours per week or as your schedule allows.

No medical experience is required-just a willingness to share your time and kindness. Comprehensive training and support are provided.
