Position Summary:

Performs warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage or distribution of product. Load, unload, move or store product according to delivery or routing documents or supervisor instructions. Perform partial pallet distribution as needed. Use gas or electric powered forklift to move product in a safe manner.

Essential Functions

Receive/ship product from multiple locations using proper warehouse procedures.
Perform partial pallet distribution as needed.
Operate gas or electric powered forklift to move product in a safe manner.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
Correctly load LTL, FTL, and rail shipments using air bags and spacers to arrive damage free.
Perform cycle counts to meet weekly KPI requirements.
Ensure food safety and quality protocols are followed.

Secondary Functions

Responsible for providing coverage in the absence of other Warehouse Support
Supervisory responsibilities:

This position is not supervisory in nature.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

The position requires organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize.
Mental activities require the continuous use of decision-making skills, the need to read, write, speak and understand the English language, teamwork and independent judgment.
The position requires the frequent use of interpersonal skills.
The position requires the ability to push up to 500 pounds (with pallet jack), pull up to 500 pounds (with pallet jack) and lift and/or carry up to 35 pounds frequently.
Minimum qualifications:
The position requires a high school degree or equivalent. Six months+ of experience in a finished goods warehouse is preferred. Must have ability to become certified as a forklift operator.

Working conditions: Work is performed in a warehouse environment. The position is potentially subject to long hours, on-call status, substantial overtime, extensive close work, heavy lifting, the use of and exposure to hazardous materials, high voltage and constant standing. The noise level is usually moderate to loud.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
