Data Records Specialist

We are seeking a Records Management Specialist to join the Information Governance team at a law firm office located in Atlanta.This position is ideal for individuals who possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, a service-oriented mindset, and are comfortable working with physical records and information systems. You will play a vital role in assisting attorneys, legal teams, and administrative staff in managing client and firm data in compliance with established procedures and regulations.ResponsibilitiesManage accurate records for onsite files, containers, barcodes, and storage locationsTrack and maintain information in the firm’s records management platformHandle requests from attorneys, legal teams, and administrative staffFacilitate physical file transfers related to client mattersOrganize, index, and document physical records in accordance with firm standardsAssist with records retention, disposition, and destruction processesGenerate activity metrics and reports on records managementSupport training for office personnel on records and information proceduresCollaborate with Information Governance leadership and team members to enhance office workflowsParticipate in additional information management projects as requiredRequirementsMinimum of a Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in an office, legal, administrative, or records-related settingProficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointPreferably experience in information management, records management, or legal recordsHigh level of attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilitiesAbility to work autonomously within a team-oriented environmentExcellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientationComfortable collaborating with attorneys, staff, and teams across various office locationsThis role presents a fantastic opportunity to grow and advance a career in legal information management with a reputable professional services team.
