Summary Overview of Position
Supports management with HR items such as hiring, onboarding, benefits, and training.
Key responsibilities
- Support the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
- Coordinate onboarding for new employees, including offer letters, paperwork, orientation, and system setup.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee questions.
- Support payroll preparation by collecting and verifying employee data, timesheets, and status changes.
- Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, time off, and workplace procedures.
- Help ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assist with performance review processes, employee engagement initiatives, and training programs.
- Support employee relations matters by documenting concerns and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Prepare HR reports and assist with audits as needed.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive, and professional workplace culture.
- Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in human resources, recruiting, administration, or a related role.
- Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Additional Preferences .
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or related HR certification.
- Experience supporting benefits, payroll, onboarding, or employee relations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment..
