Job Title: RN PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pulmonary/Gastrointestinal Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in PCU or similar settings License: Active state or compact RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic charting experience required Description: Responsible for providing care to adult and geriatric patients. Experience in patient monitoring and emergency response is essential. Clinical skills should include cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation. Proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and medication administration is necessary. Experience in respiratory support, including the use of nasal cannulas and oxygen administration. Ability to participate in rapid response and code teams is required. Floating to other areas may be expected based on skillset. Must work one designated holiday during the contract period. Candidates may be required to work weekends, with a potential for six weekend shifts within a six-week scheduling block. Compliance with the facility's call-off policy, which permits one cancellation every two weeks, is expected. This role involves daily interactions with interdisciplinary team members to support patient care. The unit typically serves a daily census of up to 27 patients.
