About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active state or compact RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic charting experience required Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in a PCU (Medical-Renal) setting. Shift hours are 3x12, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Weekend requirements may include every other weekend or six weekend shifts in a six-week scheduling block. All requests for time off must be included with the submission. The facility may call off one shift per two weeks. There is a holiday requirement to work one holiday per 13-week contract. First-time travelers are welcome, and local candidates are accepted within the specified radius. The unit serves adult and geriatric patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5. The unit specializes in the care of hospitalist medicine patients with renal and other medical diagnoses. Floating within skill set may be required. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, respiratory support, rapid response, and isolation precautions. Experience in PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown settings is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in managing cardiac drips (without titration), blood product administration, central and peripheral line care and management, and use of rapid response and code teams. Mandatory compliance with COVID-19 and flu vaccination policies applies. The candidate should be prepared to work at least one holiday per contract, with additional requirements during winter holidays. Compliance documents are due before the start of the assignment.
