About the Position

Job Title: RN Neuro PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year preferred License: Must have a valid RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EPIC charting experience required Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response Description: The position involves caring for adult patients with neurological conditions. The RN will manage a group of patients with a ratio of 1:4 or 1:5. Responsibilities include monitoring cardiac rhythms and interpreting dysrhythmias. The RN will be involved in rapid response situations and participate in code teams. IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration are essential skills. Medication administration will include cardiac drips without titration. Respiratory support such as oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management is required. The role includes 24-hour epilepsy monitoring and caring for neurosurgical recovery and stroke management. Floating to other units within clinical skillsets may be required. Weekend and holiday work is required per contract terms.
