Assembler - 1st Shift

Assembly B PositionThe Assembly B position has the responsibility to work safely, maintain a positive attitude, be respectful to all and focus efforts and abilities towards building a quality product in the time allocated. An Assembler B transforms raw materials and purchased parts into completed boats.Essential Functions:Installs decking.Installs Z bars and motor pod for framing.Installs carpet and trim.Loads furniture and console.Riggs consoles and installs navigation lights.Installs fencing, furniture, and bed boards.Cleans, vacuums, and wipes down boats.Applies decals and striping on boats.All other duties as assignedExperience/Qualifications:Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or EquivalentKnowledge, Skills, and Ability:Ability to use hand toolsAbility to work in team setting or independentlyAbility to understand processes and instructionsAbility to adjust to all weather conditionsAbility to work under boatAbility to read tape measurementsAbility to read and follow standard operations processesAbility to cross trainTravel Requirements:N/APhysical Requirements:Light lifting, under 20 lbs.Light carrying, under 20 lbs.Moderate lifting, 21-59 lbsModerate carrying, 21 – 59 lbsStraight pullingPushingRepeated bendingReaching over shouldersUse of fingersWalkingStandingKneelingRepeated stretchingSpecific visual requirementsAbility to distinguish basic colorsAbility to distinguish shades of colorHearing (aid permitted)Work Environment:Outside and insideExtreme heatExtreme humidityExtreme noise, intermittentDustFumes, smoke, or gassesSolvents (degreasing agents)Slippery or uneven walking surfacesIndependent Judgement:Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures.
