Director of Information Technology

The client is seeking a Director of Information Technology to provide strategic, service-oriented technology leadership and align technology investments with organizational goals. This role will support innovation and public service priorities by delivering technology that expands access and strengthens customer service. The director will partner across departments to build strong relationships and lead exceptional service delivery. The director is expected to lead technology strategy, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and project management efforts while guiding teams to successful outcomes. Responsibilities will include managing enterprise technology systems and infrastructure, overseeing project and supervisory functions, and ensuring effective communication, leadership, and organization across technology initiatives. The director will report directly to the Executive Director and work with the administrative team to support organizational objectives. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in an information technology-related field, three years of project management experience, three years of supervisory experience, and current advanced information technology certification (such as Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, or similar) or significant equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in information technology or a related field, experience in public sector/governmental/library/nonprofit technology environments, familiarity with USAC and the federal E-rate program, experience developing technology strategy and capital replacement plans, and experience managing cybersecurity programs and vendor relationships.
