A special education teacher in Crimson Height’s clinic is responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. They work in a unique educational setting, catering to students who require intensive support due to behavioral, emotional, or developmental challenges.
What you'll do
- Set learning goals for each student, assess their progress, and record their evaluations.
- Adapt general lessons to meet students’ needs.
- Develop individualized education Programs (IEPs) for each student.
- Plan, organize and assign activities that are specific to each student’s abilities.
- Update parents on the progress of their students and enlist parental support with behavior control and home activities designed to supplement their classroom lessons.
- Discuss students’ progress with parents, other teachers, therapists, BCBAs, and administrators.
What you'll bring
- Bachelors or masters's degree.
- Valid special education teaching credential for utah
- 2+ years of experience preferred in special education teaching.
