Desktop Support Technician

Position Title: Desktop Technician II

Duration: 02 months (until end of year)

Pay Rate: $27.82/hr on W2

Location: New York, NY 10001

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support, maintain end-user devices, and assist with hardware and software installations across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Relocate and install IT equipment across company locations.
• Install and configure end-user software, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Follow IT security policies and ensure software is scanned for viruses before installation.
• Install and configure LAN client software and related hardware.
• Update hardware and software asset records following equipment installations or relocations.
• Provide technical support to end users and resolve basic network connectivity issues.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field preferred.
• Approximately 2 years of experience in PC, printer, and peripheral support and maintenance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience supporting Windows operating systems; Windows 7/8 knowledge is preferred.
• Basic understanding of LAN, TCP/IP, and network troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of antivirus software such as Symantec Antivirus is preferred.
• Basic experience supporting iOS devices, including iPhones and iPads.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude, customer-focused mindset, and ability to work effectively with end users.
