In the United States, if you need a reasonable accommodation for the online application process due to a disability, please call View phone number on click.appcast.io.This position is hybrid with a requirement to be onsite four or more days per week. #LI-Hybrid#VehicleHardwareEngineering #LI-JT1 ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll do...Lead new/forward model product development of engine systems, subsystems and components in accordance with Ford GPDS deliverables and milestones for NA and global programs.Ensure attributes (power, torque, FE, weight, emissions and NVH) meet program targetsLead/Support resolution of all design, manufacturing, program, and launch issues.Interface with suppliers, vehicle calibration, finance, powertrain planning, transmission, vehicle cooling/TASE/heat management, NVH, SESE, Fuel, Controls, design studio (appearance/graining) and packaging.Interface with the engine plants understanding constraints and design requestsSupport all program meetings (Design Reviews, PMT Meetings, Change Control, AIMS, Milestone Status, Launch Readiness, Etc.)Establish engine and component level DV and oversee testing in support of robust validation.Coordinate prototype part delivery to ensure successful build events Lead engine assembly 543 and vehicle as installed 1271 for each build phaseManagement of all applicable WERS, FEDE, FEDEBOM, Integrator, FMA, Etc. program activities.Support DPMT, Mechanical and Combustion developmentLead warranty reduction and issue resolution.Lead TVM cost reduction idea generation and implementation.Support change control activities.Travel as necessary to Ford Engine Plants/Facilities and Suppler/Sub-Supplier sites for issue resolution and build support.Coach/mentor team members on oral and written communication and presentation skills to lead Manager, Chief and Director level reviews
