What You'll DoTeaching with passion and energy
You'll work closely with our lead teachers to create engaging experiences for our young learners.
Responsibilities
- You will assist with planning activities that encourage curiosity and exploration
- Support classroom operations and transitions, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable day for everyone
- Develop deep connections with children, listening to their interests and engaging them in meaningful ways
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues, fostering a sense of community
- Work collaboratively with lead teachers on lesson planning and shared materials, ensuring a cohesive and engaging experience
- Attend regular staff meetings and stay current with continuing education requirements
- Model kindness, empathy, and good citizenship, setting a positive example for our children
We're looking for someone with
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or equivalent experience
- At least three years of experience working with preschool-age children
- Familiarity with child-centered educational philosophies like Reggio Emilia, Montessori, or Piaget
- A genuine passion for young learners and a commitment to their growth and well-being
- Energy and enthusiasm for creating engaging and meaningful experiences
- A love of learning and a desire to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
- The ability to reliably commute to Henrico, VA 23229
