Overview: The job is responsible for: The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant operations within Boca West Country Club. This includes delivering exceptional member service, managing staff, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness, and driving financial performance. The GM will foster a welcoming environment that aligns with the club’s standards and enhances member satisfaction. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and manage daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Develop and implement strategies to improve service quality, member satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, and culinary personnel. Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control to meet budgetary goals. Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours. Build strong relationships with club members and address their needs and feedback promptly. Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure menu quality, presentation, and timely delivery. Manage financial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing sales and expenses. Ensure compliance with all legal and safety regulations. Promote a positive work environment and foster teamwork among staff. Collaborate with club management to align restaurant operations with overall club goals and initiatives. COMPETENCIES - Responds to requests for service and assistance. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING: Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Food & Beverage Director, or similar leadership role, preferably within a private club environment. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities. Knowledge of restaurant management software and POS systems. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food service.
