Staff Accountant

This position will assist the Chief Financial Officer in all financial aspects of the business including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card reconciliation, inventory control, fixed asset/fleet management, state and federal taxes, monthly journal entries, cash and banking and financial reporting. Duties & Responsibilities Accounts Receivable – including billing, aging reports and collections Accounts Payable – including vendor maintenance, weekly check runs and monthly statement reconciliation Monthly Credit Card Reconciliation – card holder management, review all coding, monthly uploads Assists Warehouse Manager with inventory management-including cycle counts and valuation Fixed Asset Management-including depreciation calculation and monthly entry Fleet Management-including insurance, licenses, titles, registrations and maintenance tracking Calculate and submit Payroll tax and Sales/Use tax to multiple states Communicate effectively with all departments Job costing and project review monthly with review team Cash management and banking – dual approvals Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities BA/BS in Accounting and/or equivalent education and experience Minimum 5 years experience Superior analytical, organization, prioritization and problem solving skills with attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word Adaptable, ability to deal with change and work on multiple tasks Computer literacy and paperless documentation experience required Excellent communication and administrative skills Ability to meet all assigned deadlines Confidentiality both internally and externally Work Hours and Location This position is an exempt full time 40 hours a week position located in the office at Eagle Point Solar in Dubuque, IA. Regular work hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm – this is NOT a hybrid position.
