Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVICU Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel QUICK OFFER Position: RN – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Location: Houston, TX Assignment Length: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 hour days/nights | 36 hrs/week Pay Package (36 hrs): • W2 (Taxable): $21/hr • Per Diem (Non-Taxable): $1,450/week • Gross Weekly Pay: $2206/week Requirements: RN – Critical Care/CCU experience – Required ACLS – Required BLS – Required Epic EMR experience – Required Must be flexible with scheduling ; no guaranteed self-scheduling Every other weekend (EOW) – Required Must be willing to float ; travelers are first to float to similar units Must-Have Clinical Skills Cardiac/critical-care experience with: Heart failure STEMI Pulmonary emboli Arrhythmias MICU overflow Ventilator management/troubleshooting Pressor management Hemodynamic monitoring: PAC, CVP, arterial lines Sheaths IABP Impella CRRT Sedation/paralytic management BIS & TOF monitoring Titrating critical-care drips Competent suctioning and ability to respond to airway emergencies such as self-extubation or tracheostomy dislodgement Ability to interpret own cardiac rhythm strips Common Titrated Drips Epinephrine Norepinephrine Vasopressin Dobutamine Milrinone Amiodarone Cardene Giapreza occasionally Unit Details 18-bed CCU Typical ratio: 1:2 , occasionally 1:1 RT available 24/7 Cardiology/critical-care support available 24/7 Patient care assistant support is limited Schedule 12-hour shifts Every other weekend required Holidays generally covered; occasional days before/after holidays may be required No call/standby Two 12-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation Other Requirements Scrub color: Teal tops and bottoms; solid/coordinate non-terrycloth jackets Must be willing to float first to similar units Ready for your next opportunity?
