TEMPORARY POSITION Medical Receptionist

This is a temporary position to cover a brief employee absence

Looking for a short term medical telephone receptionist for busy surgical practice. Schedule may be 4 or 5 days per week based on practice needs and candidate availability.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day administrative and general office duties including incoming phone calls, scheduling appointments, e-referrals, scanning, faxing, and data entry. Receives incoming telephone calls in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner and or greets/assists visitors in the same manner. Candidate must be able to perform varied duties and/or administrative tasks, including answering multi line phone system, entering prescription requests, entering telephone messages, scanning, scheduling and rescheduling office appointments, e-Referral work queue and registration of patients all within EPIC.

Must be able to multitask, demonstrate good judgment and reasoning for solving problems.

Previous medical office experience required, previous medical assistant experience a plus. Experience with EPIC a plus.

Anticipated assignment dates are mid June through 8/31/26, subject to the needs of the practice and the employee's status.

This temporary position is not eligible for employer-sponsored benefits. Paid holidays occurring during the assignment will be provided in accordance with practice policy. Any time off needs will be unpaid.
