Role Description The Registered Dietitian is a full-time, on-site role based in Sacramento, CA. This role is responsible for assessing residents’ nutritional status, developing individualized care plans, and providing ongoing nutritional counseling to support optimal health outcomes. Daily tasks include collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, documenting nutritional interventions, monitoring residents’ progress, and adjusting meal plans based on medical conditions and preferences. The Registered Dietitian will educate residents, families, and staff about nutrition, ensure regulatory compliance with dietary standards, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition and wellness. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Dietetics and Nutrition to assess and manage residents’ nutritional needs. Candidates should possess skills in Nutritional Counseling and Weight Management to guide residents in achieving and maintaining health goals. Candidates should possess skills in Medical Nutrition Therapy to design and implement nutrition interventions for various medical conditions. Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential and current state licensure (or eligibility), as required by California regulations. Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or a similar healthcare setting is preferred. Strong communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
