Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Hi-lo Driver to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move products and materials throughout the distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and hi-lo equipment to transport goods within the warehouse.
• Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely fulfillment of customer orders.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and productivity.
• Participate in training sessions for new equipment or processes as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating forklifts, hi-lo machines, or similar material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with order picking processes in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily tasks.
• Previous experience in a warehouse supervisor role is advantageous but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• A valid forklift certification is preferred; however, training may be provided for qualified candidates.
